An Exploration of Grief
2025
This body of work is a linear exploration of a process that felt anything but. A visual representation of the deepest pits that felt dark, lonely, endless. A slow progression of moving through the mess, the hurt. And finally, being able to acknowledge the light that began to creep in through the cracks. As I leaned into the pain and allowed myself to truly grieve as the life I’d envisioned for myself slipped through my fingers, I found that alongside grief was freedom, relief, and joy in discovering a life I’d long since forgotten. I had spent so much time trying to fit into my marriage, that key parts of who I was had gotten lost. And as the heaviness lifted, I began to find myself again.
